The "Garden tractor Timber Transport Vehicle"

It's either the latest in flexible modular design OR a functional kluge.

Rubber bungies create a flexible connection to solid blocking on the axle assembly of a basic dumping garden cart. The burlap is there to prevent the bungies from marking the wood as it pivots on the blocks. The rear of the timber is supported by my home made timber cart.
The GtTTV has proven itself quite nicely; the true torture test was a green 8" x 9" x 25ft hickory timber destined to be a replacement sill. I'll be looking for several volunteers to help get it in place on the J bolts in the foundation. To the right in the background of the first picture you can see the old sill with a fresh gash where I chopped out dry rotted wood.
